And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

During the wrath that will fall during Christ’s second coming, we see that lost mankind will desire to die.  Why is this?  It is because they will be feeling the wrath of God upon them and will be thinking that death would be far easier to bear than to continue to face God’s great wrath.

Sad to say, they are wrong.  When they die physically, they will be facing God’s wrath in the Lake of Fire, the worse possible wrath that can be received (Mark 9:43-44).  So in a sense, God’s intervention in their lives, stopping them from dying is an act of grace and mercy in and of itself (Matthew 5:45).

  1. What a thought to think about the fact that sinners would rather try to commit sucide than face God. All of which is vain of course because God’s control extend to when our life ends and where we go after we die (the point Rob made).
