Job2James knew his readers needed patience. They were facing persecution because of their faith. In Part 1, we saw two examples of patient endurance he gave: the farmer and the prophets. Today, we will look at the third example he gave.

Job (James 5:11)

As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Jobโ€™s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

Youย cannot persevere unless there is a trial in your life. There can be no victories without battles; there can be no peaks without valleys. If we want the blessing, we must be prepared to carry the burden and fight the battle.

I once heard a young Christian pray, โ€œLord, please teach me the deep truths of Your Word! I want to be lifted up to the heavens to hearโ€ฆ
