The Revelation Of Jesus Christ: “behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him”

Revelation 19:11

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.”

See also:

Revelation 1:7

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”

In the above two texts we see the same event being described.  Both of them help to interpret the other:

  1. In Rev 19:11, we find the second coming of Christ being described in the context of His coming back to judge and victoriously conquer the powers of darkness (Satan, fallen angels, Satan’s kingdom, lost mankind).
  1. In Rev 1:7, we find the second coming of Christ being described as a great time of sorrow and mourning for those who have opposed Him and taken…
