On This Day In Messianic Jewish History

With the possible exceptions of articles 6 and  7 , I warmly commend this document for study, reflection, prayer and action. The Statement came as a response of Dabru Emet: A Jewish Statement on Christians and Christianity, and shows development in mutual understanding and appreciation between Jewish and Christian leaders. Messianic Jews have yet to respond with a similar statement on Jewish-Christian relations, and the place of Messianic Jews within such a relationship.

The statement’s preface:

Since its inception in 1969, the Christian Scholars Group has been seeking to develop more adequate Christian theologies of the church’s relationship to Judaism and the Jewish people. Pursuing this work for over three decades under varied sponsorship, members of our association of Protestant and Roman Catholic biblical scholars, historians, and theologians have published many volumes on Christian-Jewish relations.
