Ship Wrecked ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I once was like a ship,
you could call me a wreck
when storms came my way
I’d hit hard on the deck.

I could not ride out,
the worries they brought
fear and apprehension
left me anxious and fraught.

Under the harsh conditions,
I would fold under the pressure
so severe were my nerves
noturbulence could Iweather.

But, now I don’t sweat,
the turmoil life brings
for I’ve learned to trust Jesus
in and for all things.

I once was a wreck,
just like a sinking ship . . .
butnowI hold onto my faith
so overboardI won’t flip!

which some having put away concerning
faith have made shipwreck:”
