Lord, I don’t want a religion,
that’s cold and impersonal
I want to have an experience
that’s eternally, irreversible.

I don’t want to go to a church,
that’s entertaining and fun
I want a place where I can learn
how from Satan, I can run.

I don’t want a pastor,
that’s amusing and witty
I want a man of God . . .
who’ll stir up the nitty-gritty.

I don’t want with the world,
to form a bond or  friendship
I want to meet with those
who want a true fellowship.

Lord, I don’t want to be religious,
just to go through the motions
I don’t want a religion . . .
where sinning is an option!
