A Hundred Prayers A Day ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Sometimes I pray,
a hundred prayers a day
sometimes I send
many more God’s way.

Sometimes I pray,
in the dead of night
sometimes I pray
upon mornings light.

Sometimes I pray,
while I’m working
sometimes I pray
when I’m hurting.

Sometimes I pray,
when I’m idle
sometimes I pray
when I’m in denial.

Sometimes I pray,
when I’m too busy
sometimes I pray
when I’m in a tizzy.

Sometimes I pray,
all though the day
I pray even when  . . .
I don’t know what to say!

Romans 8:26-27

“Likewise the Spirit
also helpeth our infirmities:

for we know not what
we should pray for as we ought:

but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with

groanings which cannot
be uttered.

And he that searcheth
the hearts knoweth what is the

mind of the Spirit, because he
maketh intercession

for the saints
according to the will…
