1 May 1850 Birth of Andrew Jacob Weinstein, much travelled “hidden servant” of God #otdimjh

Andrew Jacob Weinstein was born in Kiev, (now Ukraine) Russia, on May 1, 1850. Nothing is known about his early years, although we know he was born a Jew and his first language was Yiddish. He became a believer in Yeshua in 1870, and served in UK, South Africa, Australia, Egypt, Germany and the USA, where he was assigned to St. Peter’s, Philadelphia. He was diocesan port chaplain there from 1908 until his death in 1915.

His bishop, the Rt. Rev. Philip Rhinelander, said of Weinstein in his annual report of 1916:
