Looking back.


The Disruptive Preacher

I’ve written a few times on here about how we see things. About our point of view, what we believe to be true. The things that make up our strongly-held beliefs. Things we’re prepared to debate and argue about. The things we separate into our own groups about.

A favourite topic of mine I guess.

Imagine for a moment that you’re in your old age. (this doesn’t exclude anyone- you’re all still young of course!) You’ll be aware that you may only have days or hours left on earth; You’ve lived a long life and you’re looking back; reviewing, thinking.

As I’ve pondered this I become aware that I’ll definitely see things differently then.

I think many of the things I deem so important today will be irrelevant and forgotten then.

And other things will become more important, they’ll stand out in my memory against the backdrop of lesser things.
