Psa 9:1To the choirmaster: according to Muth-labben. A Psalm of David. I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.

I will – Twice written here, David is making a resolution. Regardless of the circumstance, we should give thanks and recount the good He brings us. It’s a practice not just to see how good He is, but to praise Him for it; to give thanks. We recount His wonderful deeds to always be reminded of His love and his goodness when we suffer times of despair.

Psa 9:2I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

Continuing to make resolutions to God, David is gladdened. When we praise and exult His holy name, we should not be doing it begrudgingly, or with forced and false adoration. God knows…
