A 2017 Gallup poll of 1011 adults, aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, has discovered that only 38% of Americans know believe in strict-creationism which says that God created humans in their present form at some time within the last 10 000 years (1).
This is a significant finding given that the statistic represents the lowest % of Americans adhering to strict creationism in the last 35 years. It was also found that 57% of Americans now believe in some form of evolution, and that either God guided it or not. Beyond America, strict creationism is battling to sustain any presence. Only 22% of Canadians and 17% of Britons accept the view (2).
