“Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people:
“Every Hebrew boy that is born you must throw into the Nile, but let every girl live.”
We have to be on guard against fear because the enemy uses our fear to execute his plan. When we look at this verse, it is easy to think it is about the wickedness of one man. But even greater than that, it is about the wicked enemy who comes to steal, kill and destroy. It is about the one who was defeated at the cross whose main objective was to keep Jesus from ever reaching the cross.
This is more than one man’s agenda, it is the enemy’s desire to destroy God’s plan and purpose. Pharaoh’s fear is the ideal place to plant the seed of fear for the purpose of the total separation of man and the God who loves…
