“Who am I that I should go”

Exodus 3.11a

Exodus 3
11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and
bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
12 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that
it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt,
you will worship God on this mountain.”

I wonder how many times in the past 40 years since Moses left Egypt did he replay it all in his mind and wish he had done it differently. How many times did he wish that he had waited on God? How many times did he say if I had to do it over again, I would…?

The Lord has appeared to Moses and the time to stop rehearsing the past and move forward into the future has come.  But it seems Moses isn’t sure…
