Dearest, Holy, Father,
My prayers are often filled with requests for myself or those I love. Today, I wish to ask you to look on my nation with mercy. In our short history, we’ve been faced with countless difficulties and growing pains. I know that it’s meant to help us face what comes next. You’ve already determined our future. You carved a path for us to someday reach paradise. Because of your love for the world, the promise of salvation is given as a free gift.
In my lifetime I’ve seen our United States go back and forth along partisan lines. I’ve become biased myself, when I see the games being played within our own government. I’ve lived through a few wars and seen a change in the way we treat our returning warriors. They are truly heroes, yet some don’t let them know that.
