Psalm 103:2-3
David teaches us that personal and fervent praise and thanks should be specific. It’s as though he says to himself – body, soul, spirit – bless the Lord and while you’re blessing Him – don’t forget all His benefits and then he begins to list the blessings out. What a great example we have before us. David doesn’t say, thank you Lord for all you have done in one catch-all sentence. He says, I don’t want to forget one thing my God has done in my life, I want to be specific.
