know that I am the LORD their God who brought them out of the land of Egypt,
that I might dwell among them; I am the LORD their God. Exodus 29:46
God delivered his people, the Israelites, out of slavery and
into freedom. God broke the bondages of his people and led them through the
wilderness to the Promised Land. During this journey through the Wilderness,
God had them make a tabernacle, in which he would live with his people and
dwell among them.
Think about this, for 400 years the Israelites lived in slavery. They believed God had forgotten them, they suffered in aguish day after day, not knowing how or ever if, they would be free again
In this physical tabernacle in the wilderness, God dwelt with his people, just as with Holy Spirit, God dwells with us now!
And the Word
became flesh, and dwelt…
