I have to guard against being content. Being self-satisfied is dangerous. Neglecting wisdom in my life leads to the destruction of my soul. King Solomon counsels me to pay attention to wisdom. Jesus is the truth. I must listen and obey Him.

The Christian Standard Bible puts it this way “For the apostasy of the inexperienced will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them.”
Here are some ideas to consider:
- Apostacy is turning against God, as evidenced by abandonment and repudiation of former beliefs. We see many atheists and agnostics in this category. It is a dangerous thing to turn against God. Why abandon the author of our faith? Why repudiate what we know to be true?
