I decided to re-blog a post from Feb 2017. Recent observations made me realize the ongoing nature of this problem. In a so-called Bible study group or Sunday school class, a passage of Scripture is read with an immediate jump to discussion. The questions are ones like: What do you think is the key message of this passage? What does this passage mean to you in your life today? – However, how can you even answer such questions without carefully observing the passage first? You can’t! Here is that post:
