Forgetting What Is Behind

My dog, Henry, likes to walk on the curb, so sometimes I do it, too. I figure it’s good for my balance. I have discovered that if I look at my feet I’ll fall off the curb, but if I look ahead several yards, I don’t fall off. It reminded me of Paul’s words,

” … I press on to take holdof that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behindand straining toward what is ahead,I press ontoward the goal to win the prizefor which God has calledme heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12-14 NIV
