My favorite verses for today came from:

  • Joshua 1:9
    • “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
    • This is a very popular verse but it’s one of the reasons the book of Joshua is one of my favorite books. All throughout the book you find Joshua being told to not be afraid but to trust God and that God is with him. I think it’s fascinating to find this all throughout this book because it means that Joshua was afraid, he was dismayed and he was concerned about God being with him. This mighty man who has seen miracles happen in so many ways right before him is afraid and concerned. How comforting a realization for those moments when we might be afraid – we are not…
