THE PRINCESS & THE PEA – REVISITED

Today’s post is a rerun, but it brings back memories of the last kidney stone I produced. I seem to have the ability to create these little nuisances from time to time. I often find things from my own experience turn into some pretty funny stories. While recovering from that last surgery to remove the little annoyance, I awoke at 3 AM to thoughts of a story or poem that could address this situation. It wouldn’t let go of me until I wrote it. Hopefully that was the end of the story. Originally posted 11/18/2019.

She claimed to be of royal blood from some uncharted land,
But drenched with rain and chilled within she didn’t look so grand,
She came upon a palace like the one she left behind,
But this one seemed much different – it gave her peace of mind.
