Do what is right! (2 Thess. 3:13)

Eugene Finnegan Bible Project

“Brothers!

Do not be weary

In doing

What is right!”

Ὑμεῖς δέ, ἀδελφοί, μὴ ἐγκακήσητε καλοποιοῦντες.

Paul said, “Brothers (ἀδελφοί)! Do not be weary (μὴ ἐγκακήσητε) in doing what is right (καλοποιοῦντες)!” Only this letter to the Thessalonians used this unique word καλοποιοῦντες, that means to do well, act honorably, or do what is right. Paul reminded his fellow Christian Thessalonian brothers to not grow weary or tired. They should always do what is right, honorable, and well. They had to fight off the fatigue of doing the right thing. Do you get tired of doing the right thing?
