Grief is Like An Ocean ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Grief is like an ocean,
it ebbs in and out
some days it’s grueling
others it’s a wipeout.

Grief is like a stream,
that’s keeps flowing
some days it rushes
others it’s forbearing.

Grief is like the wind,
that seems not to ease
some days it’s gusty
others it’s a breeze.

Grief is like a storm,
that rages on and on
some days it pours
others it’s withdrawn.

Grief is a process,
that defies the span of time
for the loss of a loved one
lasts a whole lifetime!
